Why VASST?

VASST is the Virginia Alpine Ski and Snowboard Team at the University of Virginia; like any other collegiate ski/snowboard club we are all for good times and snow, though you'll find there is a whole lot more to us than that. All students are welcome to join (there are no tryouts). We average 300 members every year, making us the largest (and gnarliest) club sport organization at UVA. During the season, we go to Wintergreen Resort every Tuesday and Thursday, but save the weekends for competitions and free-ski trips. Additionally, we organize two big trips every year: one over winter break to Sunday River, Maine, and the other during spring break to various resorts out west. However, things are not quiet in the off-season; VASST hosts numerous events and parties throughout the year. Our activity in the university community and beyond has made us one of the most social groups at UVA. All of this makes VASST unlike any other organization around, just let us show you.
